Rasheed A. Siddiqui, M.D.
Dr. Rasheed Siddiqui is a board-certified anesthesiologist with subspecialty certification in Pain Medicine from the American Board of Anesthesiology. He founded the Charlottesville Pain Management Center in 2002 with a mission to provide thoughtful, individualized care to patients suffering from acute and chronic pain. A graduate of the University of Virginia (Class of 1991), Dr. Siddiqui earned his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine (formerly Medical College of Virginia) in 1995. He completed both his residency in Anesthesiology and his fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at the University of Virginia. His medical training has been shaped by a deep appreciation for precision, communication, and the patient-physician relationship. Early in his career, Dr. Siddiqui practiced anesthesiology in the operating room, where he honed his technical skills. But it was during his time on the Labor and Delivery unit—placing epidurals for patients in labor—that he found a deeper calling. These experiences reinforced his love of hands-on procedures and the importance of being fully present and communicative with patients during times of vulnerability. Interventional Pain Medicine offers Dr. Siddiqui the best of both worlds: the ability to perform precise, image-guided procedures and the opportunity to connect directly and meaningfully with every patient. At Charlottesville Interventional Pain Management, he has created a unique clinical environment—one that does not rely on physician assistants, nurse practitioners, or trainees. Dr. Siddiqui personally takes each patient’s history, performs the physical examination, and conducts any indicated procedures—often all on the same day. His approach emphasizes continuity, compassion, and a deep respect for the individuality of each patient’s experience. By blending technical expertise with a genuine commitment to communication and wellness, Dr. Siddiqui helps patients find not just relief—but confidence and clarity in their path to healing.
